People consider Paladins a boring character. They tank, use Devotion, Heal, and other stuffs. They can kill too you know. This is my hybrid Paladin for Vanilla WOE.
Paladins are the best tanker in the game. Auto Guard, Defender, Shield Reflect, High HP. What else could you ask for? Even without buffs from other characters you'll still be as hard as a rock. Now let's check the offensive side of a Paladin.
The main skill for this build would be Shield Chain. You'll use Sacrifice in some cases where there's a Pneuma beside the enemy but this also damages you which I think is not a good thing. Shield Charge when melee characters go near you or if you want to push them away from Pneumas. Defender when Creators or Snipers attack you with long-range attacks. Shield Boomerang when inflicting status ailments on your enemies. Auto Guard and Shield Reflect should always be turned on.
I made this character high in hard MDEF because that gives you resistance from status ailments and it also lowers magical damage. Though if you're inside a Storm Gust, you should switch to a Marc Armor. All these gears are easy to find and pretty cheap.
Most of my stats are put on Strength and Dexterity for your Shield Chains to hit and also to deal high damage. I added 50 vit to increase HP for survivability. But just enough for you not to bleed from Acid Demonstration. I always keep this skill in mind everytime I make a build.
You'll only switch gears when you want to use hide, sight, and so on. Also you'll want to have an extra weapon with some Howard Alt-Eisen handy in case you encounter a high-flee character. If you want to tease your enemy a bit, use a weapon with status cards then use Shield Boomerang since this is a fast skill. A Marc Armor in case you get stuck inside a Storm Gust or when you see a Clown using Frost Joke. And you could also use Beret and Combat knife when facing high-damaging characters but that will only give you more hot keys to press.
This build could also be used as a Devotion Paladin. Being able to support while killing will make you one Badass Paladin.
The characters that you'll hate with this build would be Asura Champs since I didn't max out vit leaving you with an hp that are in a Champions Asura 1 shot list, an Assassin Cross that just shows up then SBs like crazy (everyone hates them), LKs that are soo rich that they'll just out-pot your damage, those Stone Cursing Magicians (and super novices), Snipers that won't let you get close. But you could out-smart these enemies. You'll just need some practice. Visit Vanilla pvp from time to time and practice. Teaching you all the tricks here would make my post really long and boring.
PS. Please use a costume if you're a guy. That Hibiscus would make you look a little girly. =)
